On October 15, the Anyang Investment Group announced that the new flight route from Shenyang to Anyang and then to Chengdu will officially launch on October 29, as reported from Anyang, China.
The Anyang Hongqi Canal Airport is strategically located at the intersection of Anyang, Puyang, and Hebi cities in Henan Province, and it officially commenced operations on November 29, 2023. This airport is set to serve over 11.6 million passengers from the northern Henan region, as well as an additional 60 million people within a 150-kilometer radius encompassing southeastern Shanxi, southern Hebei, and southwestern Shandong.
The new “Shenyang-Anyang-Chengdu” route will be operated by Sunan Ruili Airlines using Boeing 737 aircraft. Flights are scheduled to run three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The outbound flight DR6561 will depart from Shenyang Taoxian International Airport at 7:30 AM, arriving at Anyang Hongqi Canal Airport at 10:20 AM. After a brief layover, it will depart Anyang at 11:30 AM and reach Chengdu Tianfu International Airport at 2:10 PM. For the return journey, flight DR6562 will leave Chengdu at 3:55 PM, arriving in Anyang at 6:10 PM, and then depart for Shenyang at 7:00 PM, landing back at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport at 9:25 PM.
Tickets for this route are currently on sale through Sunan Ruili Airlines’ official website and major online platforms. The airline is also offering promotional fares, with one-way tickets starting at 319 yuan from Shenyang to Anyang and 309 yuan from Anyang to Chengdu, excluding taxes and fees. With the addition of this new route, Anyang Hongqi Canal Airport will now connect to cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shenyang, and Chengdu.
