On the morning of October 17, the opening ceremony for the 13th National Tibetan Medicine Advanced Training Course was held at the Beijing Tibetan Hospital. This training program is organized by the China Tibetology Research Center, with support from the Research Office, the Tibetan Medicine Research Institute, and the Beijing Tibetan Hospital.
In attendance at the ceremony were the Deputy Secretary-General of the China Tibetology Research Center, Zhaluo, along with heads of the Research Office, the Tibetan Medicine Research Institute, and the Beijing Tibetan Hospital.
Among the highlights of this training course is a special lecture by Professor Luore, the former director of the Zongsa Tibetan Hospital in Sichuan’s Garze Prefecture, who will teach a course on “Clinical Experience and Skills in Tibetan Medicine.” Over 130 participants from Tibet, Sichuan, Qinghai, Gansu, Yunnan, and Beijing will gather for this week-long training program.
During the opening ceremony, the chief administrator of the Beijing Tibetan Hospital addressed the attendees, sharing insights about the preparations for the course. He noted that recent legislation has provided a supportive policy framework for the development of Tibetan medicine, allowing it to enter a new phase of opportunity. The purpose of organizing this training course is to inherit the classic theories and clinical experiences of esteemed Tibetan medicine practitioners, thereby contributing to the innovation and growth of Tibetan medicine in China.
Professor Luore expressed his gratitude to the organizers for their invitation and to the participants for their eagerness to learn. He provided an overview of the clinical experience skills he intends to share during the course.
