Night attack on on-duty firefighter in Little Italy community, police hunt for evil couple

In a troubling incident that took place in Manhattan’s Little Italy neighborhood, authorities are investigating an assault on a firefighter who was on duty and sustained minor injuries. The police are now appealing to the community for assistance in gathering crucial information related to the case.

Law enforcement officials reported that the confrontation occurred around 11:30 PM on September 20, in front of 197 Hester Street. Two unidentified individuals approached the firefighter and initiated a verbal dispute. What started as an argument quickly escalated into physical violence, with the suspects forcefully pushing the firefighter, causing him to fall and suffer injuries. After the assault, the suspects fled the scene on foot, and their current whereabouts remain unknown.

The police have released images of the suspects, indicating that they may be a couple. The male suspect is described as having features typical of African descent and a well-built physique, while the female appears to have lighter skin, possibly of mixed ethnicity, with a fuller figure.
