In a recent event held at the Baicaopo Forest Botanical Garden in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, the “Silver Ginkgo – Joyful Encounter with Jinzhong” themed youth imaging social event kicked off on October 24, 2024. The initiative aims to leverage the power of imagery to showcase Jinzhong’s natural beauty and cultural richness, providing a platform for young people to connect, interact, and express themselves, while further promoting the “Joyful Encounter with Jinzhong” brand.
Jinzhong’s Vice Mayor Liang Yanping emphasized during the opening speech that Jinzhong is a city of universities, youth, and vitality. She highlighted that the nine unique cultural and tourism experiences under the “Joyful Encounter with Jinzhong” initiative are drawing increasing attention. She encouraged photography enthusiasts to capture the stunning landscapes, document the historic charm of the ancient city, and witness the wave of transformation in Jinzhong. The event also seeks to create an environment for the youth to engage with one another and appreciate the beauty of autumn together.
The event included the official launch of the Jinjin Creative Content Alliance, a collaborative effort among People’s Photography News Agency, Shanhe Think Tank, the Digital Cultural Tourism Sub-Committee of the Shanxi Experts and Scholars Association, and the Shanxi Cultural Geography Digital Industry Research Institute.
During the “Joyful Encounter with Jinzhong” youth imaging social event, various themed activities such as the “Youth Adventures” Ginkgo Handmade Workshop, “Youth Perspectives” Outdoor Imaging Course, “Youth Encounters” Love Bottles Initiative, “Youth Moments” Ginkgo Picnic Party, “Youth Dialogues” Life Story Session, and “Youth Voices” Guoyue Concert were organized to provide young people with opportunities for self-expression and connection.
Additionally, a Ginkgo-themed photography competition was held, encouraging participants to capture the beautiful moments of Ginkgo trees and further elevate the city’s visibility and reputation.
The event was guided by the Jincheng Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Jinzhong Cultural and Tourism Bureau, hosted by Jinzhong Public Infrastructure Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd., and organized by Jinzhong RuYun Huijing Cultural Tourism Development Investment Co., Ltd., with assistance from People’s Photography News Agency, Jinzhong Vocational and Technical College, and Shanxi Cultural Geography.
