Starting then, Gold members will have the option to add a family account for just an additional 8 yuan per month. This family account will require a unified monthly payment from the primary account holder, but it will be completely independent in terms of password management, device access, and viewing history from the main account.
The pricing for iQiyi memberships indicates that the lowest monthly fee for a Gold membership is 25 yuan. This means that Gold members opting for the family account can save 17 yuan each month by choosing this cost-effective package.
According to iQiyi’s announcement, the family card service is designed to meet the entertainment needs of both the members and their families, while also helping to mitigate the disruptions and risks associated with password sharing. In the first month, Gold VIP members can add a new Gold VIP account for just an additional 8 yuan. From the second month onward, the primary account can renew the family account package for a special price of 33 yuan, which includes the main account’s 25 yuan monthly fee plus the 8 yuan for the family account.
Both the family account and the primary account operate independently, with their own membership details, passwords, and viewing histories. Each account supports logins from up to five devices, ensuring that the usage of both accounts remains separate.
This means that if there are two members in a household who want to utilize iQiyi’s services, starting November 12, they can subscribe to this budget-friendly package. One individual can activate the continuous monthly subscription for 25 yuan, and by adding just 8 yuan, another family member will enjoy independent account privileges without worrying about conflicts in viewing history or progress. The new account can also log in on five devices, allowing users to manage their devices autonomously.
