Li Bai Cultural Cities Alliance was officially established

On October 13th, the Li Bai Cultural Cities Alliance was officially established in Ma’anshan, Anhui Province. This coalition includes ten significant cities linked to the travels of the renowned poet Li Bai, such as Jining in Shandong, Jiangyou in Sichuan, and Ma’anshan itself. The alliance aims to collaboratively explore and promote the rich cultural resources associated with Li Bai, thereby enhancing the poet’s influence both domestically and internationally.

Li Bai, often referred to as the “Immortal Poet,” stands out as a remarkable romantic poet from China’s Tang Dynasty, known for his bold and imaginative verses. Throughout his life, he traveled extensively across the nation, leaving behind a legacy of beloved poetry that has turned the places he visited into coveted cultural landmarks for future generations.

The member cities of the Li Bai Cultural Cities Alliance include Jining, Jiangyou, Fengjie in Chongqing, Anlu in Hubei, and several cities in Anhui, namely Anqing, Chizhou, Tongling, Xuancheng, Wuhu, and Ma’anshan. These locations are not only celebrated for their breathtaking natural landscapes but have also gained a deeper cultural hue through Li Bai’s works, establishing themselves as vital destinations in China’s cultural tourism landscape.

The alliance is committed to fostering innovative transformation and development of Li Bai’s cultural legacy. It will establish a platform for cooperation and communication, creating a friendly, close-knit, and robust regional development cooperation mechanism. Members will work together to share resources and promote mutual benefits through policies that encourage cultural tourism, co-develop promotional routes, share information, attract visitors collectively, and ultimately create a new global brand for Li Bai cultural tourism.
